CBD oil for dogs and CBD oil for cats — and indeed CBD oil for animals generally — is a hemp-derived, THC-free oil formulated at a concentration suited to animal bodies. It is a distinct product from human CBD oil, not a repurposed version of one. CBD Oil Sunshine Coast stocks pet CBD oil on the Sunshine Coast, with shipping to Maroochydore, Caloundra, Noosa, Mooloolaba and all of QLD. Here is what the product actually contains.

We write about our products in composition terms only. This page covers what is in the pet CBD oil, how it is formulated, and how it compares to the human-formulated oils in our range. No health or veterinary claims appear here.
What is CBD oil for pets?
Pet CBD oil is hemp-derived cannabidiol dissolved in a carrier oil — typically MCT (medium-chain triglycerides, coconut-derived) — formulated with a concentration and serving guidance calibrated for animal use rather than adult human use.
The hemp in question is Cannabis sativa L. grown as a low-THC plant. Hemp is the same botanical species as high-THC cannabis but bred for low THC content. The CBD extracted from it is the same compound regardless of whether the final product is destined for a human or an animal; the formulation differences lie in how much CBD is in each millilitre and in how the label guides serving size.
Our pet oil is also formulated to be THC-free. Unlike a full-spectrum human CBD oil — which carries a legal trace of THC under 0.3% as part of its whole-plant profile — the pet oil goes through an additional processing step that removes THC completely. The finished oil contains no detectable THC, confirmed by third-party batch testing and stated on the Certificate of Analysis.
So what is in the bottle: hemp-derived CBD + MCT carrier oil + no THC. That is the complete composition.
CBD oil for dogs — composition focus
CBD oil for dogs is the most-searched term in this category in Australia, and it describes the same product as pet CBD oil: a hemp-derived CBD oil formulated for animals. The "for dogs" specification reflects the most common use case, not a canine-only formulation — more on that in the next section.
When you compare dog CBD oil products, the useful numbers are:
Total CBD (mg) — our pet CBD oil 2000mg contains 2000mg of cannabidiol in a 50ml bottle.
Concentration (mg/ml) — 2000 ÷ 50 = 40mg per millilitre. This tells you how much CBD is in each measured drop or millilitre.
THC status — our pet oil is THC-free. A product labelled "full-spectrum" for pets may still carry trace THC; check the Certificate of Analysis to confirm. Ours shows 0% THC on the batch COA.
Carrier — MCT (coconut-derived) in our formulation. Check what the carrier is in any product you compare.
Serving size guidance — the label specifies a per-animal serving based on body weight, not an adult human serving. These are not interchangeable with the human oil serving guides.
Compare this to our human-grade 1000mg full-spectrum CBD oil: 20mg/ml, trace THC under 0.3%, adult serving guide. Different formulation, different intended user.
CBD oil for cats — same product, same composition
Here is the part that often surprises people: CBD oil for cats and CBD oil for dogs are the same product category, and in our case the same product. We do not stock separate canine and feline formulations. Our pet CBD oil is formulated for animals generally — dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small companion animals where appropriate.
The reason "CBD oil for dogs" and "CBD oil for cats" are often sold as different products by some brands is largely marketing. The compound, the carrier, and the THC-free specification do not need to change between species. What changes is the serving size, and that changes because cats are smaller than most dogs — the label accounts for this through weight-based guidance.
When you give a cat a measured quantity of our pet CBD oil, you are giving the same oil you would give a dog — just a smaller measured amount appropriate for a smaller animal. The label guides this.
We make no claims about what this product does for cats, dogs, or any other animal. It is described by its composition.

How to read the label on a pet CBD oil
Label-reading for a pet CBD oil follows the same logic as for a human oil, with an added animal-serving guide. Here is what to look for:
Mg total — total cannabinoid content in the bottle. Tells you the size of the batch; divide by volume for concentration per millilitre.
Mg/ml — concentration. Our pet oil is 40mg/ml. This is the number that tells you how much CBD is in each drop or measured millilitre.
THC confirmation — "THC-free" on the label, backed by a Certificate of Analysis. Check the COA states 0% THC, not just "trace" or "under threshold". Ours shows 0% THC per batch; the COA is on request.
Carrier identification — our carrier is MCT, coconut-derived. Some pet CBD oils use different carriers (hemp seed oil, olive oil); check what it is and whether it is appropriate for your animal.
Animal serving guide — sized by body weight. Do not apply human oil serving guidance to your pet. Always consult your veterinarian for specific guidance on your animal's needs.
Our guide to using CBD oil explains the general label-reading process if you are new to CBD oils and want to understand what all the numbers mean.
Is CBD oil for pets legal in QLD?
Australia's regulatory framework for CBD products is national — it applies in QLD as it does everywhere else. The Therapeutic Goods Administration governs cannabidiol products; for products used in animals, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) also has jurisdiction.
Our pet CBD oil is hemp-derived and THC-free. It is not a prescription veterinary medicine, and it is sold as a formulated composition product, described by what it contains. We make no health or veterinary claims.
In QLD, as in all Australian states and territories, consulting a registered veterinarian before introducing any supplement to your pet is the appropriate step. If you have questions about the regulatory status of CBD for your animal specifically, a vet registered in Queensland is the right contact.
We ship our range to Maroochydore, Caloundra, Noosa, Mooloolaba and across QLD. Dispatch from within Australia; support replies within 24 hours.
